Ihe Sturgeon Health Unit reports that
20,579 people from the area attended for
their first dose of Sabin oral polio-
lmyelitis vaccine during January, and
18,328 (894) of these came bekc for a

the March feedings and will be eligible
for a second dose later in the year.

‘4s most of us know, Mr. Hee Arseneau,
manager of the Bank of Montreal here,
has been transferred to Thetford Mines,
Quebec. Thus, St. Albert is losing one
of its most avid community-minded ladies
= Mrs. Corinne Arseneau. In the 7 years
that Mrs. Arseneau has made her home
here, she has made a generous contribut-
ion to the ladies organization of this
community. \-An active member of the
Altar Society, she has served in almost
all the executive offices. The sane is
true of the Women's Institute and the
Legion Auxiliary. {then her husband was
elected District Governor of the Lions
Club, she temporarily suspended her own
activities to becone his ‘Girl Friday’.
The Brownies and Guides have also been
recipients of her time and effort and
she fondly remembers the camping trip
she took with the girls.
One organization in-St. Albert might- wel:
not exist to-day but for Mrs. Arseneau
who drew up the plans and laid the corner
stones of its-founiation: the Marguerite
de Youville Auxiliary, “a much needed ser-
vice, to which the residents of the You-
ville home will testify.

Working very often quietly in the back
ground, Mrs, Arseneau has earned the

iration and affection of all who-kney
and worked with her as well as those who
saw and enjoyed the end results of her
efforts.

Happy with their transfer, she” looky
forward to returning to her own familiar
ground near family and friends. She
leaves us with some regret as she has
thoroughly enjoyed these 7 years here and
“wouldn't have missed it for the world".
In saying good-bye and wishing us luck,
‘rs. Arseneau said, "If ever again I find
a group of ladies as fine and wonderful
to work with as the ladies in St. Albert,
I :ill be fortunate indeed!"
